They’re seeking to recruit a Head of Accounts. In this role, you will play a key part in the company’s mission by ensuring financial accuracy and driving strategic account management. You will be responsible for overseeing account operations, developing and maintaining financial reporting, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and sustained business growth. Your day-to-day activities will involve the oversight of financial processes across various accounts, strategic planning, and the continuous improvement of account management practices across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides accurate, timely and relevant recording of daily financial information based on international accounting policies and standards.
  • Prepares and submits vat returns on a timely basis.
  • Performs bank reconciliations.
  • Monitors and performs clients/suppliers’ statements of accounts and reconciliations.
  • Handles bank/creditors payments.
  • Prepares the company’s payroll – (including responsibility for payment of the related taxes and other deductions and contributions to the relevant governmental Authorities (Tax Department, Department of Social Security, etc.).
  • Communicates with external stakeholders (e.g Banks, Lawyers, Auditors, Governmental authorities, etc.).
  • Handles Value Added Tax, Corporation Tax, Defence Fund, G.H.S and other related payments.
  • Manages day-to-day transactions.
  • Prepares budget/forecasting management reports.
  • Performs any other accounting tasks required.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or any other related field will be considered an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position is required.
  • Strong knowledge of TAX / VAT regulations, Labour legislation and payroll procedures.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting, payroll and software databases.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Excellent planning organisation and time pressure management skills.
