The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing the company’s compliance program across all European operations, with a particular emphasis on ensuring regulatory adherence in the realm of digital marketing and online advertising activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program that ensures adherence to CySEC regulations, as well as all relevant laws and industry standards acrossthe European region.
  • Implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls, and ensure their consistent application across all European operations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address identified compliance risks.
  • Remain up to date with regulatory developments and advise business stakeholders on the changes required to ensure continued compliance.
  • Conduct periodic compliance audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of the company's compliance program and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, complaints, or incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure that all digital marketing and online advertising activities comply with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
  • Review and approve marketing materials, websites, social media content, and promotional campaigns for regulatory compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and training to the marketing team on regulatory requirements, advertising guidelines, and best practices for responsible digital marketing.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and maintain effective communication channels with CySEC and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive compliance reports, notifications, and filings as required by regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive compliance training programs for employees across the European region, focusing on regulatory requirements, ethical practices, and the company's compliance policies and procedures.
  • Foster a strong culture of compliance and ethical behaviour within the organization by promoting awareness and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional compliance certification is preferred.
  • Holder of CySEC Advanced and AML Certificates.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a senior or leadership role in compliance within the financial services or investment industry, with a focus on European regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of CySEC regulations, as well as other relevant laws and regulations pertaining to online trading, CFDs, and FX products across the European region.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing practices, including performance marketing and social media advertising.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively oversee and direct a team of compliance professionals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to effectively convey complex regulatory information to various stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Proficiency in relevant compliance software and tools.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage.
